Guangdong University of Technology is a provincial key university with a focus on engineering, integrating engineering, science, economics, management, literature, law, art, and education, and developing in a coordinated and multidisciplinary manner. It is a key construction university of high-level universities in Guangdong Province. The university has 25 colleges, 2 public course teaching departments (centers), and 12 research institutes. It has 8 postdoctoral research stations, 15 provincial key disciplines, and 7 provincial "First-class" disciplines.
